Unlike smelly and potentially dangerous fumes from gasoline powered go karts, electric go-karts are emission free making well suited for indoor karting. Since there is no flammable fuel, electric karts are safer and environmentally friendlier. Its electric motor offers better torque meaning it’s a lot more fun and can outperform the gasoline karts on any day.

The eco-friendly go kart was designed and built and is capable to reach a top speed of over 70 kilometers per hour.

The team, was responsible for the design, retrofitting, integration and assembly of the electric powertrain unit which incorporates a 5 kilowatt motor & controller mated wit ha 48V (Volt) 100Ah (Ampere hour) LiFePO4 (Lithium Iron Phosphate) battery pack which offers longer cycle life, better power density and are inherently much safer compared to other rechargeable battery types.
