CA04 : CATIA FUNDAMENTAL OF TOOL & DIE DESIGN

CAD Software Programme

Program Overview

The transformation of the country’s economic sector from an agriculture-based economy to an industrial-based economy has increased the use of sheet metal in the industrial sector. Sheet metal is a metal formed in a thin and flat piece. It can be turn into varies shape via bending and cutting. It is available in flat pieces or as a coiled strip.

Metal stamping die is one of the method used to shape sheet metal into desired product. It is widely used in the industry, commonly in automotive sector. There are several types of die used to shape the sheet metal before it becomes a product. A lot of parameter needs to be considered in designing a die. This guideline gives information that a designer required before starting to design a die.
